Right before Christmas, we headed back up to Ryan's parent's to celebrate just with the immediate family. Despite Kate coming down with strep (yuck), it was a fun time getting to just relax and be together.
Waiting for mom to finish the delicious prime rib we had!!
1, 2, 3, 4 . .. Ready or not! Can you find Olivia? : )
Ava took a turn hiding.
We were all spending the night so we decided to open up stockings that evening.
Our only family shot
Everyone ready "christmas morning" to open presents
Grandpa and Grandma and the girls
This year, Grandpa started something new. He came down and took each girl out by herself to pick out their present. The girls had such a fun time getting to spend the one on one time with Grandpa and loved getting to open their presents.
Here's Olivia with one of her picks, a new elephant!
Kate opened up some of hers . . .a new moose : )
and some horses of her own!
Ava was thrilled with her new horses (AND a unicorn too)
Aunt Callie surprised the girls each with their own princess dolls. They've been loved and played with LOTS since then.
Ava and Ariel
Olivia and her sleeping beauty
Kate with her beloved Belle. Thanks Aunt Callie!
Then Kate and Olivia got another surprise, a barn for their horses (this was all a big deal since up until now, Ava has "owned" all the horses in our house). Kate was starting to feel too crummy at this point, but Ava was quite thrilled with their gift too. : )
Speaking of my Kate . . . .poor girl. No fun being sick at Christmas but it seems at the ages of our kids, almost always one is anymore! I was thankful the other girls didn't get it.
Ava and Olivia having fun playing with the new kitchen appliances from Uncle David and Aunt Tara.
and with that we headed home to get ready for our own little family christmas.
