hurry up spring . . .and slow down ava

I'm sure we weren't the only ones enjoying the nice weather yesterday! Our family went for the first walk of the year and then sat on our front step for a little over a half hour because Ava was having so much fun watching the neighborhood kids play and discovering the outdoors. It felt so good for me to be outside and I think Ava agreed. I don't think she stopping talking or giggling the whole time (AND she got to finally wear Grandma Prevo's coat - I love it!).

On a sad note - my daughter has decided it's time for a growth spurt . . .and has pretty much leapt through most of her 6 - 12 month clothing. My mom and I bought some 9 and12 month outfits for her this past week for spring/summer and tried them on (after washing them) . . .and half of them fit NOW. So I'm seeing my purchases for this summer slowly lose their purpose. I guess it's a good thing we're going to florida in a couple weeks so she can wear them! Hurry up Spring!!!!!!!!!

Last night after Ava had her bottle before bed, Ryan had started to change her but she just wanted to play. Ryan was standing her up and she kept getting this huge kick out of arching her back, sticking her belly out as far as she could . . .and looking to me like, "Aren't I great mom?!"

I assured her she was. : )

Last week, I went to go check on Ava during her nap and found her laying like this with her hood over the back of her head. I had to run and get the camera. It kind of reminded me of what I might look like to Ryan in the morning . . . ."Do not disturb. Do not wake me up . . .. "

Cade loved pushing Ava around and would stop every now and then and cuddle her head in his hands. It was pretty cute.

6 months old!

It seems unreal but Ava is 6 months old today! At her Dr's Appt this week she was:

Weight: 16 lbs 1 oz (50th percentile)

Height: 25 3/4 in (50th percentile)

Head: 16 1/2 in (30% percentile)

She is SO close to crawling. . .she's scooting backwards and around but

hasn't quite gotten the hang of moving forward. She's really close though . . .
