what do you even say to this.

What happens when Mommy thinks Ava is with Daddy and Daddy thinks Ava is with mommy?

Any advice on how to get balmax out of cushions, linen curtains and carpet would be much appreciated.

The irony of it all? Ava had just had a bath.

Kaden did this with Aquaphor. It was a horrible mess to clean up. Best of luck! LOL!

Oh dear. Ava Cherise. Bummer!
I googled it and found info at http://www.ehow.com/how_4488491_remove-diaper-cream-from-carpet.html
I have learned that you can find how to remove almost anything from the Internet. Last week we spilled 1/4 gallon white ceiling paint on our carpet in the basement- who knew that dumping rubbing alcohol and scrubbing (for hours) will completely remove it!
Good luck.

I guess Ava figured that if balmax made Kate and Olivia feel better, that might work for the rest of the nursery! OH DEAR!!
If you are interested in keeping the curtains, you might consider taking them to the cleaners, rather than experiment on different cleaning solutions. Does the chair/footstool have scotch guard on it.....that might let it clean up easier??? Try cleaning an area that is the least visible. There are professional carpet cleaners that also so upholstery.
The carpet might be the easiest...trying some kitchen dish soap that will cut grease and try a small area - a little soap, scrub hard and try to clean up with water. Good luck and keep me posted!!
Life sure can be exciting! Such a creative child!!! love & hugs from mom
ps I guess we left too soon!

oh my...that is such a mess but oh so cute! i'm an avid reader of your blog and my daughter Lexie is almost the same age as Ava. I LOVE reading your posts on her b/c they remind me so much of Lexie. Also, I'm dealing with the thought of "us" bidding good-bye to the paci too. We're due with baby #2 on Nov. 8th and hopefully the paci will be gone by then...that's our goal!

AVA!!! OH my! Amber, you are right...what do you say to that?! Sorry, I don't have any advice on how to get it out but google always seems to have answers. :) Or utube, then you'll get a demonstration along with it. :)

Emma did the same thing - only with a brand new tube of Desitin instead - while I was busy feeding the boys one time. Lucky for me she only covered herself (hair included), the wood changing table, the wall, and various items on the changing table. Everything was pretty easy to clean except getting it all out of her hair - although it did take the finish off some of the wood of the changing table. We have a picture of it - but we don't laugh over it yet - it was SUCH a mess to clean up!! Good luck!!

Amber, it must run in the family! Remember Sophie's fingernail polish rampage? So was Ava guilty looking when you found her, or gleeful?

Tricia, given the fact that when I walked in, my daughter instantly held out her hand to me and said "No - way (as in go away)" and then bent down to hide her face, I'm going with GUILTY on this one. : ) After I got her BACK out of the bath she wanted to go back in the nursery to see her "mess. Ava mess." sigh.

I just had to walk out and get the camera. I didn't trust my reaction otherwise (laugh or scream and neither felt appropriate).
